AOF signs pact with TCA for ‘Project Sunrise’ in Hubli

Amway Opportunity Foundation (AOF), a non-profit organisation, launched its “Project Sunrise” in Hubli on Wednesday by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with an orphanage run by the Trinity Christian Association (TCA) to take care of the educational and other expenses of the children there.

Hubli-Dharwad Mayor Viranna Savadi, who was witness to the formal signing of the MoU, handed over a cheque of Rs. 85,440 to Leslie Joseph of Trinity Christian Association on behalf of the foundation for the educational expenses of 48 children in the orphanage for the year.

Member of the foundation Pankaj Vasal said that as per the MoU, the foundation would take care of the educational, medical and nutritional requirements of the children of the identified orphanage for three years under the project.

Lauding the initiative taken by the foundation, Mr. Savadi said that the Hubli-Dharwad Municipal Corporation was open to having an MoU with the foundation on proposals related to development of the twin cities and invited the representatives of the foundation to submit proposals to the corporation commissioner.

Mr. Joseph thanked the foundation for helping the children of the orphanage which was located at Mundagod in Uttara Kannada district.
